This year also marks a new direction and focus for my work. After several years of making a production line of domestic cone 6 oxidation work, I'm concentrating now on my first love, atmospheric firings. While I will still be making functional work, my focus will shift from utilitarian surfaces to more contemplative ones. I am adding texture with both slip and roulettes to give the surface movement and push the atmosphere, mostly wood firing, around the work. Here are a few of the teapots I'm working on as well as a couple of pieces from my last wood firing.

I hope you'll come along on this journey with me as I show you my work, my tests, my teaching, and my thoughts.
